Our Process
Every great garden is a journey.
From the first conversation to the day your garden comes fully into its own, here's how we work.

01 - Connect
It starts with a conversation.
We visit your space, understand how you live, and listen carefully to what you want your garden to do for you. No pressure, no obligation, just a proper conversation about what's possible.
This first meeting sets the tone for everything that follows. We look at light, levels, access, views from the house and the small habits that make a garden genuinely useful.
By the end, you should feel clearer about the opportunity in front of you, even before anything has been drawn.
02 - Design
Every line drawn with purpose.
Armed with your brief and a full site survey, we develop a scaled design, material palette and planting scheme, everything you need to properly visualise the finished garden.
We work across contemporary and traditional styles, always designing around the specific character of your property.
The design stage is where the garden starts to feel inevitable: proportions are tested, routes are refined, and each material earns its place.
03 - Propose
You'll see it before we build it.
We return with a full proposal, scaled drawings, material palette and a clear project cost. Our aim is to present it so you can accurately visualise the result.
Eight out of ten clients say yes at this stage. Not because we push, because by the time we present, we already know exactly what you need.
You will understand what is included, how the garden will be built, and where the investment is going before any work begins.
04 - Build
Joss on site. Every day.
Construction is managed personally by Joss from start to finish. Two close-knit teams, never more than two projects at once, your garden gets our full attention throughout.
We use only the best materials from trusted suppliers. Built to last, because we'd rather build it once and build it properly.
Groundworks, drainage, levels and finishes are all handled with the same care, because the details you cannot see are often the ones that matter most.
05 - Care
The garden grows. So does our relationship.
We hand over every garden with full guidance on how to care for your planting. A well-planted garden takes three to five years to fully mature, we design with that timeline in mind.
Many of our clients come back to us years later for the next project. That's the relationship we're building from day one.
We want the garden to keep improving after we leave, with structure, planting and materials that settle in rather than tire out.
Before You Get In Touch
A few things worth knowing.
No design fees upfront
We don't charge for initial consultations or design work. That investment is ours to make because we're confident in what we present.
4-8 weeks from first meeting to proposal
We take the time to get it right. You'll never feel rushed, and you'll never receive a proposal that doesn't feel considered.
Two projects at a time
We deliberately limit how many projects we run at once. It means your garden always gets the attention it deserves.
