FAQs

Questions before
we begin.

Clear answers to the things homeowners most often ask before starting a garden design or landscaping project.

A considered process starts with clarity.

Every garden begins with a conversation. These answers cover the practical details people usually want to understand before getting in touch.

01

Do you design and build gardens?

Yes. Landscape Artisan offers a complete design and construction service, so the thinking behind the garden and the way it is built stay connected from the first meeting to the final plant.

02

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Hampton and work across South West London, Surrey and Middlesex, including Richmond, Twickenham, Wimbledon, Weybridge, Esher, Cobham, Kingston, Surbiton, Teddington and Thames Ditton.

03

What kind of projects do you take on?

We work on complete garden transformations, front and rear gardens, driveways, patios, terraces, decking, pergolas, courtyards and narrow gardens. The right fit is usually a homeowner looking for a well-considered outdoor space rather than a quick surface refresh.

04

How much does a project usually cost?

Every garden is different, but most full design and landscaping projects are a meaningful investment. As a guide, typical projects often sit between £20,000 and £200,000, with many around £40,000 to £50,000.

05

Who will manage the work?

Joss and Rebecca remain closely involved throughout. The same people who understand the brief stay connected to the project, which keeps the work personal, consistent and carefully managed.

06

How long does the process take?

Timescales depend on the size and complexity of the garden. After the first conversation and site visit, we take time to develop a considered proposal so you can understand the design, materials, cost and build approach before work begins.

07

Can you help if we only have a small or narrow garden?

Yes. Smaller and narrower gardens often benefit most from careful design because every proportion, route and material choice matters. We regularly work with compact spaces that need to feel calmer, wider and more useful.

08

How do we start?

The best first step is to get in touch with a short description of your garden, where you are based and what you would like to change. We will then arrange a conversation or visit to understand what is possible.
