About Landscape Artisan
Twenty years of gardens designed to last.
Landscape Artisan creates timeless outdoor spaces shaped by trust, craftsmanship and a deep understanding of how people want to live. Every garden is considered from the first conversation through to the final plant, balancing practical detail with a softer sense of atmosphere, proportion and place.
Our Story
Started in 2018.
Still the same two people.
Landscape Artisan was founded by Joss and Rebecca Durham after stepping away from previous business partners.
Joss leads the creative and on-site craft, personally shaping each garden from first ideas through to the final details. Rebecca guides the business and client experience, making sure the process feels clear, considered and properly looked after.
From the beginning, the aim was simple: oversee every project personally, use the best materials, and create gardens that last.
Our Approach
The same care, from first call to final plant.
Every Landscape Artisan project is kept close, considered and personal from the start.
With two close-knit teams and never more than two projects running at once, nothing gets lost between design and delivery.
The Team
Small teams, closely led.
Landscape Artisan keeps each project personal. Two trusted teams work across a small number of gardens at a time, with every build kept focused, consistent and carefully led.
Team One
Focused on full garden builds
Complete garden projects are kept with a consistent crew, so the groundworks, construction, planting and finishing details follow the same plan from start to handover.
Team Two
Detail-led work and focused changes
Smaller changes, driveways and detail-led improvements are handled with the same care, giving each project the right attention without stretching the team too thin.
How It Feels To Work With Us
A garden takes shape in layers.
The Experience
Considered from the first conversation to the last plant.
Stone, timber and planting are chosen for the way they settle into the garden over time. We think about texture, weathering and maintenance from the start, so the finished space feels refined without becoming fragile.
Every layout is shaped around real use: morning coffee, evening light, guests, children and quiet. We look at how you move through the space, where you naturally pause, and what would make the garden feel effortless day to day.
The invisible work matters as much as the finish: levels, drainage, groundwork and aftercare. These are the details that stop a garden from only looking good on handover, and help it mature with confidence over the years that follow.
The final layer is never rushed. Edges, joints, planting positions and the last clean-down all matter, because those small finishing decisions are what make a garden feel quietly complete.
